Kayak 3 miles from East Nashville’s Shelby Park to Nissan Stadium, downtown. Perfect for beginners and experienced paddlers.

Blue herons, turtles, and kingfishers line the route as you pass under several bridges, finishing just over the bridge from Broadway.

This self-guided tour perfectly combines picturesque views of the Cumberland River with the backdrop of an urban, city skyline.

what to expect

You’ll meet our staff 15 minutes before your scheduled trip time at the Shelby Park Boat Ramp.

Upon Arrival, you’ll check in with our staff in one of our kayak vans. Our friendly staff will provide you with a pre-trip orientation, going over the details for your route.

Your trip will take about 1 hour paddling 3 miles down the Cumberland River, finishing in the heart of Downtown Nashville, in front of Nissan Stadium.

At the end of the paddle, our staff will be waiting to help you ashore! Once your trip has arrived, we’ll take a few minutes to rack up our trailers, and then shuttle everyone back to Shelby Park!

You’re also welcome to part ways, and walk across the pedestrian bridge to Broadway, your hotel, or favorite honky tonk

How long will this trip take?

Our trip usually is about 60-90mins depending on the river current and head wind.

What's included?

Your tour includes a River Guide ,water and photos of you and your group. A shuttle bus will also take you back to your vehicle if needed.

It's my first time kayaking. Is this trip for me?

We make it easy for beginners with simple orientation where your guide will give instructions on how to paddle and manuever safely down the river with Kayaking and Paddle Boarding 101.

What are the age and weight requirements?

We require that you are at least the age of 12 and if under 18 years of age you must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Our Kayaks have a weight limit of 300 pounds recommended by the manufacturer.

What is your weather/cancellation policy?

If Severe Thunderstorms arise we will wait till storm passes or reschedule. We are concerned for your safety and will definitely cancel tours if there are close lightening strikes and thunder.

Am I able to rent a kayak for the day and take it to another lake/river?

Our Kayaks and Paddle Boards can only be taken on our Guided tours which take place on either the Cumberland River or the Buffalo River. We do not rent out our equipment to take or travel with.
