We highly recommend a hat and sunglasses as well as a ziplock or dry bag for your phone and personal items if needed to bring along with you on the river.
The Cumberland river is a open commercial water way making the sun very intense in the summer months.
Anything valuable should be left in your vehicle or hotel room. You can wear workout attire or a bathing suit. If it’s a bit chilly you can bring a sweatshirt or jacket. Most people do not falloff unless they want to go for a swim. Bring a change of clothing in case you case you get a bit wet.

Paddling with us is great for bachelor and bachelorette parties, birthdays and corporate events.
We carefully monitor weather conditions before our paddle sessions. If we suspend a tour or class due to high winds or storms, we will postpone or reschedule.
Due to the nature of our tours and the limited number of equipment we will only provide refunds for tours cancelled at least 24 hours in advance on a case by case basis. No shows or late cancellations will not receive a refund.
Absolutely! We have kids as young as six years old come paddle with us!
If a child is under 16 they will need to be accompanied by a parent. Smaller children and pets may need to provide a sized life jacket. We can place younger children in a tandem kayak with an adult.
In addition we have 9ft paddle boards and 6ft kayaks that children or young adults can use.
Storage space is very limited. We have one large dry bag and a limited supply of loaner waterproof phone protector cases.
Paddle boarding is much easier than it looks, and if you would like you can sit down or kneel rather than standing up on the board. Paddling the Cumberland river is a great route for beginners. It will be an active paddle but it is normally very calm with small waves.
Our kayaks are rated for a weight up to 300 pounds and 300 pounds for paddle boards. We only allow one person per kayak and paddle boards unless it is a tandem kayak with space for two.
